An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sous Chef to join our hardworking team at The Waterfront Inn.

£26,000 – £27,000

5 days out of 7 – No split shifts

As a Sous Chef and part of the kitchen management team reporting to the Head Chef, you’ll assist the Head Chef to manage the kitchen when they’re away. Our kitchen team are friendly and driven to delivering satisfying meals to our customers. We have a range of homemade dishes, along with fantastic homemade cakes produced in our kitchen.  The Waterfront Inn caters from 7:30am – 9pm, 7 days a week, therefore experience working in a high volume, fast paced kitchen is compulsory. We run carvery’s every Thursday – Sunday, so previous experience would be preferred.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Manage the kitchen in Head Chef’s absence
  • Ensure efficient day to day running of the kitchen
  • Ensure the kitchen meets legislation requirements

The suitable candidate:

  • A talented chef with passion for fresh food and strong team player
  •  Take pride in presentation and successful service
  • A hygiene qualification, excellent food knowledge and food safety awareness are all be essential for being a Sous Chef
  • Adaptable, hardworking and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to lead a team and delegate
  • Previous experience working in a high volume, fast paced kitchen
